Writers Virginia Gilbert and Michael Crompton have come up with one of those most memorable of TV moments. It’s quite spectacular how you can twist a sentence about the value of truth to fit a narrative built on lies.
I just finished watching, again, that final scene in S22 E10 of Silent Witness. The character Nikki Alexander’s assertion was sharp like an arrow and aimed directly at Trump and Boris Johnson, who collectively and separately undermined with their lies the trust which is the foundation of western civilization. In Trump’s case, it’s “breathe in, lie out.” Still is, in 2026.
