While I am at it, here is another great example of “stupid marketing”. In this case, either the marketers were dumb, or they were addressing the “stupid” customer, in this case for Barclays bank. They sent me an offer for their exclusive “black card”. It costs $495 for a years membership.
It’s main benefits are free flights, any airline, any time, any where and airline lounge access. As can be seen here, for 25,000 points level you can get a $500 flight voucher. At which point, you spent $495 plus enough to rack up 25,000 points.. Who is stupid now?
